85 million copies of his little books have been sold and his colourful style is recognised worldwide. Graphic artist Dick Bruna (1927) started out designing book covers and posters in Holland from the 1950s, but became world-famous when he created the Miffy children's books.

Since the publication of his first Miffy story in 1955 he has written and illustrated more then 120 books, The Miffy stories have been published in 50 languages, and Bruna's iconic style has been developed across thousands of merchandise products, television series, musicals and other products around the globe.

Since the launch of the Miffy program in China in 2004, almost all Dick Bruna titles have been published. Besides this, Chinese licensees introduced many products with Miffy ranging from toys, apparel, shoes, baby products, textiles, stationery to fashion accessories. CCTV is broadcasting the Miffy TV series on a regular basis. More and more Miffy is also gaining popularity in China and see feels very happy to be in her house on Happy Street in the World Expo.

From early May Miffy also starts on a promotional journey through China. Miffy's diary of her travels will be on www.52miffy.com. In a contest, visitors of this website will decide what places Miffy is going to visit.
